Sponsored by Defense Project 88

The self defense classes are designed to instruct practical self defense to women of all ages and skill level. We will dispel common self defense myths as well as teach you basic tips and techniques on how to avoid becoming a victim.

Rather than teaching a person to thwart an attack by punching and kicking, we demonstrate small joint manipulations and how to pinch sensitive parts of the body for a quick release and escape.

The self defense classes are a practical and easy approach to safety and empowerment. Rooted in Aikido philosophy and principles, all techniques are simple, sound, easily remembered and very effective. Instruction caters to all ages, sizes and abilities.
